Hi all Here is the latest on my 67 roadster restoration. I bench tested the engine i purchased back in march and it runs which is good news..I have changed the front plate, the back plate and changed the timing chain fron single to duplex which is a lot stronger. I had a new ring gear fitted and had the flywheel machined. I purchased a high torque starter motor not cheap but in the long run i think it will be worth it (no more mangled ring gear teeth ) I have fitted the new clutch and mated the gearbox to the engine this will all go in as one unit. I tested the solenoid for the overdrive and it works so i am hoping the unit will work once up and running. I had my wire wheels shot blasted and painted in 50% gloss black they look the part especially now i have fitted them with new tyres My next plan of action is to fit the steering coloum and get it rolling again. This is where i am up to at the moment with this very ambitious project i am starting to come down the other side of the mountain. More up dates as and when they happen.. Thank's Ian
