Hello All
My '73 Roadster has presented me with a conundrum and any comments or observations would be appreciated.
Should the overflow outlets on the float chamber lids have some pipework fitted? At present they are open and pointing at the Air Filters. I would have thought that some plumbing to direct ejected fuel past the exhaust and onto the road would be in order. Looking online I see many MGBs with open overflows but also quite a few with braided pipes attached. Was this a matter of regulation and country of use?
It strikes me as sensible to fit pipes that will direct any overflowing fuel away and out of the engine bay? Anyone done this or have views on why NOT to do it?
Many thanks Bottom Gear Bob
